today's forever 21 finds

I went to Forever 21 today to make an exchange and I picked up these awesome gloves and this TwelvebyTwelve chain fringed top in navy. I also picked up a cute navy short sleeve dress with an elastic gold belt that has a bubble skirt. 

I foresee wearing these gloves ALL the time. I'm excited about them.

I've been somewhat ignoring the Internet for a while (by that I mean Facebook, Twitter, etc) - I'm sure that much is obvious...

In my return to Internet life I've discovered that,

1)I have become very lazy this summer in terms of utilizing my wardrobe. According to Daytum, this very addictive site where you can count (and chart!) just about anything, I have worn only 4 of my 36 pairs of shoes (that I can remember) and used only 3 purses, if I've used one at all. Why anyone would want to know this information besides me, I'm not sure... lol

2)Keeping up with Twitter updates is just impossible if you're not doing it constantly... and even if you are, that just means you'll sit there for hours. Hmmm.

3)Sephora has made many new updates to its beauty rewards program - which makes me very happy!

4)I posted some things on eBay from my closet clean up. As a result, my mom refrains from lecturing me about the state of my room/closet. But there's still soooo much to post... ugh. Should I just take it all to a resale shop?

missing nyc

there are many, many reasons that i miss nyc... here are some of them. (in no particular order)

1. the museum mile festival TONIGHT

2. Met exhibits like Napoleon III & Paris, which opened today, or The Model as Muse, which opened in May that I didn't get a chance to see

3. Club openings, like Avenue, brought to us by the amazing team that brought us Marquee, Tao, etc. (I also miss marquee... ah!)

4. New spots at the Cooper Square Hotel just blocks from where i used to live...

5. it is waayy easier in nyc to find foreign magazines. the same is true for shopping in general.

ugh!

is it summer yet?

This photo always makes me feel like i should be eating ice cream on the beach. I wish the weather would figure itself out... like now. (I have no idea where this pic is from, but let me know if you know... It's been on my computer for quite some time.)

In other news, I plan to have some fun with sewing, jewelry making, and photography this summer. You'll get to see most of it here. =)

today...

Instead of doing anything useful, I've been occupying my time at home reading my younger brother's favorite books (i.e. books I've read a million times since I was his age or new books that he pushes me to read) or looking at random things online. Aside from online shopping and Facebook, my current favorites are:

Twitter - I'm pretty sure everyone is obsessed with it right now...

Daytum - I'm having fun counting which purses and shoes I wear daily... haha

Closet Couture - I think I will be spending a lot of time here uploading my closet & making outfits. It's basically Cher's closet in Clueless but better! It is summer, after all, and I am unemployed...
